Having trouble meeting the ladies? Break out in cold sweats when a man approaches? Do you find that it's hard to speak once eye contact has been established with the opposite sex? Well, to be honest, we can't fix all of your problems, but we can help facilitate company for those lonely evenings. So, to eradicate loneliness, let me introduce Bader, or more affectionately known as Sweetie, and Kagan, otherwise known as Cupcake.

These 2 adorable puppies, are Anatolian Shepherd Mixes. Found, discarded, in a field, no mother, or humans for miles. Their beginnings are certainly on par with many of our other rescue dogs, except for the good Samaritan that cared for them, and even drove an exorbitant amount of hours to meet us so we could pick them up. Other than that, we're looking toward their future, not clinging to their past.

Now, for the details and what you NEED to know. Anatolian Shepherds, are considered a Guardian Breed, and are workers. Their job is to protect the livestock, and they are, typically, bred for that purpose, but can also make excellent family dogs, as they love people. However, this breed is protective of their owners, and can be trouble if not socialized well, especially considering they can weigh up to 150 pounds (we are expecting them to get around 75-100 pounds). They are considered a calm, brave and fiercely loyal dog, but most of all they are independent thinkers. Due to their size and their intelligence, this breed requires regular exercise, continued training, excellent dog/human socialization and a strong/natural leader, otherwise, you'll have an unruly animal. We highly recommend researching the breed, understanding their requirements/needs and making an informed decision, as not everyone will be able to handle them.

As you can see, from the pictures below, Bader/Sweetie and Kagan/Cupcake are being leash trained by twin 9 year old girls (they hate their leashes). It's a process, as the dog's are a bit head strong, but with guidance, it's coming together. As you can see, this is a very lovable, friendly breed, who'll do right by your family, however, without proper socialization, and training, you could potentially create habits that lead to difficult problems later. Our goal is to get dogs in FUREVER homes, so we try to be upfront about everything you need to go from the get-go.
